A THOUSAND WAYS (PART TWO): AN ENCOUNTER
By 600 HIGHWAYMEN

Written and created by Abigail Browde and Michael Silverstone

Line Producer: Cynthia J. Tong

A proposition for how to begin again. To meet distance and difference with curiosity.  Nested at the center of an empty space is a small table bisected by glass. You sit at the table, opposite a stranger, with a stack of notecards and a set of instructions to guide you. What will come from this private piece of theater? Everything we need is already here, just you and me.

A THOUSAND WAYS (PART TWO): AN ENCOUNTER is your chance to reconsider what you think you know about a person – including yourself. This elucidating experience is the second installment in a triptych that explores the lines between strangeness and kinship, distance and proximity.

Obie Award-winning theatermakers, 600 HIGHWAYMEN, known for exhilarating performances that challenge the very definition of theater, have created a quietly radical response to this new world with A THOUSAND WAYS. Taking place over several months, each distinct installment presents a new chance at making contact with a stranger. It is a chance at being heard, a brave moment to show up.
